Jared Greenberg Hosting Reel
Jared Greenberg is a rising star in the sports broadcasting world with the ability to serve as a
host, anchor, sideline reporter and play-by-play broadcaster.
Currently, Jared is an anchor for MSG Varsity, a 24-hour, seven day a week regional sports
network dedicated entirely to high-school sports. Jared can also be seen on MSG and MSG+
covering basketball for the Northeast Conference.
Prior to joining MSG Varsity in 2009, Jared was both a Sports Anchor and Reporter for the
News 12 Long Island and Westchester affiliates. While at News 12, Jared also hosted a live
pre-game, halftime and post-game show for the New York Giants on Giants.com.
From 2005 to 2008, Jared was a regular contributor to NBA-TV where he hosted such programs
as NBA-TV Fantasy Hoops, NBA-TV Daily, NBA Live, and NBA Action. Additionally, he was the
voice of nightly game highlights and features that aired on NBA.com and AOL.com.
Beyond his ability as an anchor/host, Jared has a strong background as a play-by-play announcer,
calling college basketball games for ESPN Regional Television and for Comcast SportsNet (Mid-
Atlantic) coverage of the Colonial Athletic Association.
In addition to Jared’s TV capabilities, he is an accomplished radio play-by-play announcer having
spent the 2005 season as the radio play-by-play voice of the Newark Bears Professional Baseball
Club. Jared also worked at WFAN in New York as a reporter covering the New Jersey Devils,
New York Rangers and New York Jets.
Jared attended Hofstra University. During his four years there, Jared broadcasted more
than 200 college games and led a staff of 20 as the Sports Director of the school’s radio
statio (WRHU). He assisted in making WRHU the first college radio station to have its games
broadcasted on SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
Jared currently resides in White Plains, New York.
