Rod Woodson
Football Analyst
Rod Woodson is a former NFL and college football standout and 2009 inductee into the Pro
Football Hall of Fame. During his 17 NFL seasons as a defensive back with the Pittsburgh
Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders, Rod was elected to
the Pro Bowl eleven times and named an All-Pro nine times. Rod was also named to the NFL 75th
Anniversary team and was the 1993 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. In 1999 he was a part of Sporting News’ list of the 100 Greatest Football Players.
In 2001, Rod won a Super Bowl as a member of the Baltimore Ravens.
While at Purdue University, Rod was a two-time All-American in football, in 1985 and 1986, and
was selected as All-Big Ten three times. He also ran track while at Purdue, and qualified for the
Olympic Trials in 1984.
Currently, Rod is a pro-football analyst on NFL Total-Access, airing on the NFL Network. He has
also been seen on BBC Sport’s coverage of the NFL, including Super Bowl XLII and XLIII
Rod resides in Pleasanton, California with his wife and family.
